It pivots on spherical magnets greas down with a silicone lubrecant. It is in a diamond configuration, like an 8 sided die, with some subtle internal adjustments to sync exterior polarity. Then instead of using the attractive magnetic force of the exterior magnets, you use the propulsionary force. You use a specific point in space to have the magnetic interaction occur.
